The service was great. Came right on time. Gave me options for repair. The repair was completed in several hours. In very very cold weather. The mechanic was very knowledgeable and also vet polite.

Tavon F. was very polite and very professional. Called in advance and arrived as stated. Actually introduced himself and shook hands! Promptly repaired my garage door, explaining everything he was doing. Showed each item that needed to repaired before replacement. Explained possible causes for parts that needed replacement. No hard sell for a new replacement door. Was up front with all expenses for the new door. I was so impressed, I asked if he could return to install the replacement garage door.

These guys are professional, polite, knowledgeable and prompt. I had Precision install my high-lift garage door with a jackshaft opener. I had a car lift to install and the height and operation needed to be just right with the garage door. They set me up correctly and I was extremely satisfied. Today, I had an issue with the door after 3 years and Precision had a person at my door the following day. They would have had someone over on a Sunday if I chose that day. Bolts loosen, as they do, but the tech that came to my house diagnosed the issue in a few minutes. Very happy overall and this is my only garage door service choice.

One of our garage doors broke today, with a bang! My friend recommended Precision Garage Door, so I gave a call. Ashley, who answered the phone, was very pleasant. Tavon called a couple *hours* ahead of the scheduled appointment window to say he was on his way! The door was fixed quickly. I was pleased to have everything explained to me. Excellent experience.

My appointment was scheduled for the same day. Travon contacted me to inform me he was on his way with an estimated arrival within 30 minutes. Upon arrival, Travon greeted me and asked me about the service I needed. He assessed the garage door, opener and sensors to inform me of the problem with a recommended fix. Upon my approval, Travon completed the installation of sensors and demonstrated the corrected door and sensor operation.

We originally chose Precision a year ago to replace our old wooden garage door after reading multiple reviews of several companies. After meeting with Precision's representative, we felt that Precision was the best choice. The new door, track, and nylon rollers have been a great improvement, and wonderfully quiet compared to the original. That is important for us because the garage is located under part of our living quarters. The door has operated flawlessly up until recently, when the wall mounted openers started malfunctioning. We called yesterday for service, and first thing this morning Tavon was here to repair it. He determined that both wall openers needed replacing. While installing the replacements, he went over several things about the door with me that will help in the future, should the issue arise again. I was curious about why the door occasionally was slow going up and down, and Tavon explained that this is normal when the battery backup kicks in if the electricity goes off to the opener. Considering the storms and electrical interruptions that have occurred over the past month that have affected other items including our HVAC, I am glad we decided to have the battery back-up option added when we had the door installed last year. Although our service call today was a couple of weeks beyond the end of the warranty period, Tavon did not charge me because he felt that the wall openers should have lasted longer than they did. Now that is what I call service!

We had used Precision Garage Door previously and were satisfied. Telephone communications, for scheduling, were excellent and they expedited our service when requested. The service was performed by Tavon, who was courteous and knowledgeable. He even went back to the warehouse when he discovered that our door was larger than standard to get the appropriate cables made. And this was on Saturday when most are closed! Thank you Precision.

My experience with Precision is A1. Service call scheduled for first thing in morning after calling evening before. Tavon arrived on time and was a professional. He explained how garage doors work and pointed out what was wrong with ours. Wasn't expecting the cost for these repairs, but this is the first time garage needed anything in 20 years plus.... Especially since it is used an main entrance and exit to house. In two hours, garage door was tuned up, repaired and operating like new... hopefully for another 20 years.... Today we had the great pleasure of doing business with your technician Tavon A Flowers. Not only was he friendly and personable, but he was also very good at explaining the problems he found in addition to the main problem of the broken garage door spring and he explored with us the options for repair. He explained each option in great detail indicating the pros and cons of each for us to take into consideration for long term care of our garage door. He shared the price associated with each option and explained the Precision payment plan process. He even gave us some helpful tips for on-going maintenance. When we decided which option we wanted, he went about doing the requested repairs in a very timely fashion. Upon completion of the repairs, he cleaned up the work area, and reviewed everything with us making sure he had answered any questions we had about what he had done. Kudos to Tavon. When I called the Precision Garage Door company, the first person I spoke with gave me an appointment for the next day. I called back in a few minutes, however, to see what I needed to do to get a "same day" appointment (since that's what is advertised on the website). After my second call, I did, in fact, get a "same day" appointment, the tech was at our house within an hour... which was GREAT!!!, the job was explained and completed within 30 minutes, and the garage door seems to be working fine. So why 3 and not 5 stars???... Here's my issue - the cost for the work done was RIDICULOUSLY HIGH!!! Even as I'm writing this review, I could KICK MYSELF for paying!! We had very similar repairs done by this company in 2015 (i.e., replace the extension springs, pulleys, and cable wires) and the cost for this job was about $500.00. This time around (May 2023), however, the cost for this job was over $1300.00!!!... and that was the second/middle option!!! If I would have accepted and done everything the tech recommended, the cost would have been almost $2000.00!!! I showed the tech my 2015 receipt, kept asking questions about the price, and really tried to understand why the prices were so high... and although I never felt good about the prices, I eventually, gave in because we need our garage. So, just add this review to the many others that address the RIDICULOUSLY HIGH prices associated with the Precision Garage Door company... and be prepared to spend LOTS of money if you use this company!!! I will not use them for any repairs in the future.

I have a seven year old garage door installation which creaked and groaned when traversing up and down. I scheduled a service appointment via telephone with the office and the technician came out on the day and time scheduled. Both interactions were professional. The rub is that the technician proposed two repair options at $2K+ and $1.7K+ essentially replacing all components except the actual door and opener (I paid $3K for the door and opener with installation). We declined these options and were offered a $250 "lube job" that would be considered a temporary Band-Aid. When that was declined we were advised that there would be a $60 service call fee. No one advised us that there would be a fee just to look at the door and, when asked, the technician pulled up the showed where the website states "free service call with repair" but was unable to show where a fee was clearly stated. We subsequently had another company come out who indicated that there was nothing that required replacement. He did lubed the door and made some adjustments which fixed the problem and charged us $150. Even when the $60 service call fee from Precision is added, we still made out $40 better and were not upsold an unnecessary $1.7K to $2K+ repair.
