A friend of mine recommended calling Precision Garage Door, saying that the person who came out to help him was very kind and experienced and had no difficulty finding and fixing the problem. Pat came out today, on a Sunday, and I had the same experience: he was kind and experienced and had no difficulty finding and fixing the problem. He went above and beyond in explaining what was wrong and what may need to be done in the future. He also oiled some of the framework of my garage, to minimize problems in the future. He not only fixed the problem with my garage door, but also helped me understand much more about them and was incredibly thoughtful and considerate.

Nicholas Broughton was the technician who serviced our door. He replaced two broken springs and installed a center header, which the system lacked. Apparently that is quite a dangerous situation. Nick left his own cell number in case my husband had questions that I couldn’t answer. He really went above and beyond, was very kind. He is a wonderful representative for Precision….Josette, who answered the phone, was very nice, very helpful and quite knowledgeable. We are looking into a replacement for our very old door!

I will never use this company again: Yesterday 9 March 2015 I had a service call for a garage door and opener that had been installed by Precision in April 2014. Originally they did a great job on the install so I felt good about calling them for the repair. I had to pay a service charge of $50 just for a technician to show up. He found that the idler pulley for my garage door opener was broken. Then he told me he "didn't have one on the truck". Really? A garage door company doesn't have a pulley?. However, he would replace my entire mount and pulley for an additional $75. I sensed a scam, so I said No and sent him packing. It turns out you can buy this pulley on-line for under $10, and my regular handyman swapped it in for me, and the door works again. Here's an alternate scenario: If Precision had charged $50 to cover the trip and the first half hour labor, and $20 for the pulley, I would have paid without complaining. It was the attempt to con me into paying for a bigger job that pissed me off. Enjoy that $50, because it is the last money you are getting from me, on any of my 4 garages.

Given that my previous vendor failed to come twice, just showing up would have earned 4 stars:-). Mike was on time, had the parts on hand and installed it efficiently. I asked him to refer me to someone who can give me a quote for a replacement door. It was a pleasure doing business.

Prompt service. Outstanding office staff and scheduling. Technician very knowledgeable and courteous. Explained the nature of the problem, and then fixed my garage door very quickly and did some tune-up work too, to make all three doors operate smoothly and quietly. Highly recommend.
