Precision sent a Tech out the same day of my initial call (Saturday). However they had to order a part. The tech temporary fixed the door so that it would operate over the weekend. First thing on Monday, they fixed the door as promised. $30 dollar off coupon on line, plus prompt service! No complaints!!

I was given a service window of between 2pm-4pm. Technician, Alan, arrived close to 2pm and was polite and professional. He informed me of what needed to be done, provided an estimate and began his task. Shortly thereafter, he completed the job and asked me to check for satisfaction. I had one spring and wheel off the track on one of my doors. I called Precision Garage Doors because I had used the company before and their information was right on the wall near the remote opener. I received good service from the customer service personnel and the technician was prompt and friendly and assessed the problem. However, he did not have the equipment needed to make the repair so he has to come back tomorrow -- and I had to pay the $50 fee for the service call.

I would like to thank Precision Overhead Doors for your excellent service in getting our garage door back up and functioning. Two days ago one of our springs broke and the door would not open. I call Precision Tuesday night and was able to get an appointment for Thursday afternoon. Alan came out, assessed the problem and within 30 minutes installed new heavy duty springs, checked all cables, adjusted the motor and lubricated all hinges making sure the garage door was functioning at optimal capacity. From first contact, Precision was the right choice...the woman who took my original call was very helpful and guaranteed that my tech would be there between 3-5, and Mike E was even early for my appointment. Once Mike E arrived, he was great to deal with, as he inspected the entire works of my garage door, tightening anything that looked like it would later be a problem. We contacted Precision and was able to get an appointment rather quickly. The bracket supporting the rear trackand spring had pulled out of the ceiling. Michael arrived on time and reviewed our situation. He had a challenge finding the stud to reattach the bracket but now it's mounted better than before. Good work Michael. I did not have the work performed. From the discussion with Melissa on the phone, despite my very clear description of my door and springs, and asking for an estimate she was intentionally vague and gave an estimate of $250 max. When the service staff member arrived (he was genuine - good guy and no fault of his) he said we recommend replacing both springs, which is what I wanted, at $190 each + a ball joint (?) so it will be $515... classic bait and switch... get in my house w/ vague phone quote of $250 and bump to $515 in person and I'll do it? NO! I will not have Precision door install the springs. Even if it SHOULD cost $600, if another vendor is honest with the estimate ON THE PHONE - 1ST CALL, I'll pay it. You guys are GOUGING people at $515... the springs shouldn't cost me any more than $88 (http://www.homedepot.com/s/garage%2520springs%2520.218?NCNI-5). I need two winding bars ($30) and some instructions...http://ddmgaragedoors.com/index.php Labor? $90 an hour. So the whole job shouldn't be more than $200 to $250 for 40 minutes work?

Excellent service! Timely, friendly, and competant... Michael called in advance to give me his estimated time of arrival. He was very detailed in his assessment. He performed the work in an expeditious manner. Before leaving, he performed a walk-thru with me of all services provided and showed me where my springs had worn down and one was broke.
