Great service. The repair was scheduled and done on the same day, really half day. Tech Alan was prompt and professional. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. He replaced the broken spring quickly and allowed me to decide whether I wanted to replace the other spring now or later although he recommended now. No pressure and very easy to talk to. I would recommend this company and Alan to friends.

Yesterday, when I googled 'Garage Door Opener Repair, MD', Precision came up with excellent ratings. I called and was scheduled for next day (Saturday) service. THe receptionist was very congenial and professional. Upon receiving the email acknowledging the appointment, I visited the website and read about the technician. This is an excellent feature - getting to know and see who will be coming to your home. Alan arrived within the stated 2-hour timeframe; and immediately assessed the problem. We were given the choice of having a new motor installed today for $550, or waiting until Monday for a new $280 gear - because he didn't have the needed part on his truck. We neither wanted to wait 2 more days for our garage door to work, nor did either of us want to have to miss time at work to have the technician return on Monday. While the new PDS Precision 800 motor was quite pricey compared to the prices I'd seen online for a replacement Craftsman HP 2.0, the Precision is MUCH quieter. We are well pleased with the new garage door opener.

From first contact, Precision was the right choice...the woman who took my original call was very helpful and guaranteed that my tech would be there between 3-5, and Mike E was even early for my appointment. Once Mike E arrived, he was great to deal with, as he inspected the entire works of my garage door, tightening anything that looked like it would later be a problem. Job was done right, and I would highly recommend Precision, and particularly, Mike E !!

Let's first start off with my scheduled time for my appointment, it was between 11am and 1pm on April 2, 2014 by 12:40 I had not received a call from the Tech or a representative of Precision Garage doors. I called Precision to ask if I was still on the schedule for my appointment I was told that the GM would give me a call back and he personally would come out to fix my garage door. I then received an email thanking me for my business and if my garage was serviced to my liking, but remember no one had not shown up yet.. At 1:25 Tech Alan T finally shows up to fix the door, I was quoted over the phone a price of $49.00 for the service fee and that the spring would be between $90.00 to $200.00 the tech quoted me $560 to fix the door!!!!! I informed the Tech that I had to leave for work at 1:45 he told me that he wished I had called the company back to tell them this so he wouldn't had to drive ALL THE WAY ACROSS TOWN! So if you do decide to use precision make sure you have the hole day to wait at home and wait a inflated quote, and the GM that will never call you back, by the way it's 10:30 pm on April 2, 2014 and I'm still waiting for this call!

We contacted Precision and was able to get an appointment rather quickly. The bracket supporting the rear trackand spring had pulled out of the ceiling. Michael arrived on time and reviewed our situation. He had a challenge finding the stud to reattach the bracket but now it's mounted better than before. Good work Michael. We will absolutely recommend Precision to anyone in need of repair or new replacement.

So much unexpected costs with my garage door broken spring repair. The technician  is quite a saleman; from the beginning of the estimate of the job, additional cost after another, it was one spring that broke but ended up with two sping replacements done, then I needed a new motor trolley replacement as well, the total job cost me over$550. My garage door was repaired but I belive it's sure over priced:(

Our garage door would not open this morning. When I called Precision for help, Melissa scheduled an appointment for between 1 and 3 PM today. Alan arrived as scheduled and was able to replace the broken springs. He also reattached the door in a much more secure manner and worked with the motor settings so that the door now operates in a much smoother fashion. He was very helpful in demonstrating how to oil the hinges and rollers and made a recommendation for a future repair that will be needed. It is now 3:30 and the work is complete. We are very happy customers who will definitely call on Precision again in the future.

I had an issue with my garage door not raising all the way or staying closed. I called and Precision was able to look at the door on a Saturday. This was a big help to me since I wasn't able to take off during the week. The technician was on time, very professional and explained what options I had to repair the door opener. I opted to replace the limit switch. He quickly replaced the switch, tightened the door chair and also oiled the garage door track. The door now opens smoothly and raises and closes completely. Barry was very professional and showed me exactly what the issue was. I highly recommend Precision and will be calling again in the future if I have any other problems with the door.

I did not have the work performed. From the discussion with Melissa on the phone, despite my very clear description of my door and springs, and asking for an estimate she was intentionally vague and gave an estimate of $250 max. When the service staff member arrived (he was genuine - good guy and no fault of his) he said we recommend replacing both springs, which is what I wanted, at $190 each + a ball joint (?) so it will be $515... classic bait and switch... get in my house w/ vague phone quote of $250 and bump to $515 in person and I'll do it? NO! I will not have Precision door install the springs. Even if it SHOULD cost $600, if another vendor is honest with the estimate ON THE PHONE - 1ST CALL, I'll pay it. You guys are GOUGING people at $515... the springs shouldn't cost me any more than $88 (http://www.homedepot.com/s/garage%2520springs%2520.218?NCNI-5). I need two winding bars ($30) and some instructions...http://ddmgaragedoors.com/index.php Labor? $90 an hour. So the whole job shouldn't be more than $200 to $250 for 40 minutes work?
