So much unexpected costs with my garage door broken spring repair. The technician  is quite a saleman; from the beginning of the estimate of the job, additional cost after another, it was one spring that broke but ended up with two sping replacements done, then I needed a new motor trolley replacement as well, the total job cost me over$550. My garage door was repaired but I belive it's sure over priced:(

Our garage door would not open this morning. When I called Precision for help, Melissa scheduled an appointment for between 1 and 3 PM today. Alan arrived as scheduled and was able to replace the broken springs. He also reattached the door in a much more secure manner and worked with the motor settings so that the door now operates in a much smoother fashion. He was very helpful in demonstrating how to oil the hinges and rollers and made a recommendation for a future repair that will be needed. It is now 3:30 and the work is complete. We are very happy customers who will definitely call on Precision again in the future.

I had an issue with my garage door not raising all the way or staying closed. I called and Precision was able to look at the door on a Saturday. This was a big help to me since I wasn't able to take off during the week. The technician was on time, very professional and explained what options I had to repair the door opener. I opted to replace the limit switch. He quickly replaced the switch, tightened the door chair and also oiled the garage door track. The door now opens smoothly and raises and closes completely. Barry was very professional and showed me exactly what the issue was. I highly recommend Precision and will be calling again in the future if I have any other problems with the door.

I did not have the work performed. From the discussion with Melissa on the phone, despite my very clear description of my door and springs, and asking for an estimate she was intentionally vague and gave an estimate of $250 max. When the service staff member arrived (he was genuine - good guy and no fault of his) he said we recommend replacing both springs, which is what I wanted, at $190 each + a ball joint (?) so it will be $515... classic bait and switch... get in my house w/ vague phone quote of $250 and bump to $515 in person and I'll do it? NO! I will not have Precision door install the springs. Even if it SHOULD cost $600, if another vendor is honest with the estimate ON THE PHONE - 1ST CALL, I'll pay it. You guys are GOUGING people at $515... the springs shouldn't cost me any more than $88 (http://www.homedepot.com/s/garage%2520springs%2520.218?NCNI-5). I need two winding bars ($30) and some instructions...http://ddmgaragedoors.com/index.php Labor? $90 an hour. So the whole job shouldn't be more than $200 to $250 for 40 minutes work?

It is difficult for the person who answers the phone to see what is actually wrong with your door. Our technicians are trained to diagnose and repair the door. We certainly do not recommend any work that is not needed. As always, it is your decision to have the work completed. I was quite disappointed in with this experience. My worst with any service repair over the last 20 years for anything in house. I was quoted lifetime warranty on the phone, and i was also quoted that labor is included in the material price. But it turned out warranty was only 5 years and labor was extra. I was in a corner as needed to get somewhere today otherwise would not have gotten the work done. I was asked to pay in advance which again puts a bad taste to begin with....as a result i did not even tip the technician (which is what i generally do). I would have rated it even worse, but towards the end the technician did a good job and made my experience a little better. A 2-3 inch ballbearing coupling for $45. I am an engineer and know what those cost. That is an obnoxious price and taking advantage of the customer when he is already hooked and technician is at the door.

Excellent service! Timely, friendly, and competant... Michael called in advance to give me his estimated time of arrival. He was very detailed in his assessment. He performed the work in an expeditious manner. Before leaving, he performed a walk-thru with me of all services provided and showed me where my springs had worn down and one was broke. I will definitely use Precsion again!!

You found a way to get to the issue right away so the garage door would not be open overnight. My service man was prompt, polite, compassionate, professional and fixed my door in about 20 minutes. I was impressed from start to finish. I appreciate the photos of your staff - that gives an extra level of security and shows you care about your customer and your staff at a very high level. I was so pleased with everything that I have referred a co-worker for service on her garage door. I agree the price was a little more than I expected but I am ok with it since I got what I paid for - prompt, compassionate, outstanding work. Thanks so much.

I like how you provide Employee info so the customer will already know who to expect. My experience was good but Alan thought that I needed a new garage door opener. It turns out that he had miss-adjusted it but I was able to properly adjust it a couple of days later. I have never used a service like this so I was surprised to learn that you aren't open on Sundays. It seems like offering some Sunday service would prevent some customers from having to use leave during the week or to have to wait for a Saturday appointment.
