Excellent service! Ron Cross was very patient and professional as he walked me through the needed repairs, which included a new motor and new cables. He did not pressure me to purchase anything unnecessary and provided me with some best practices for maintenance. I was also very grateful that he had all the needed parts and equipment and was able to complete the job in a few hours. We are so pleased with Ron that we will use Precision for any future repairs. On time, very friendly. Fixed the issue. I’m not confident it will be a long term fix however. When I initially called I was told the “come out” fee was $60. My total was $300 including $90 for a new generic remote and $200 for a “tune up” that took much less than an hour. What was included in the 60, why was it not on the bill? Also I prefer folks tell me as they do work what it will cost instead of a surprise. What work is included in the $60? Not clear.

Excellent tech ( Jay). Explained all well. Efficient. This install was to replace previous door opener with Wi-Fi LED Garage Door Opener do that with power loss, the mechanism will continue to work for 5 openings and closings before need to recharge VS manual operation which I had previously ( and with a reinforcing horizontal steel bar on the door, it was too heavy to lift and difficult to reach to close).

I believe that the technician tried to overcharge my wife for a simple garage repair. 2 torsion springs needed to be replaced...the left one broken...gave 3 different repair estimates ranging from 23 hundred dollars to 19 hundred....the door is only 6 years old....said bearings were bad,tension wires and pullies defected...generally the steel door was bad....actually had another technician come out and replace the 2 springs and inspect door....door in good condition

I actually called Gaithersburg. My expectations were not met. Jay was professional but we started on the wrong foot. I did not expect to need all the items he suggested. I thought he was overselling. That it's likely that one needs to replace more parts should have been mentioned when I first called. The price of the springs were higher than the highest range given to me. I could tell that Jay was annoyed. And thus, I did not feel good about the experience. A more realistic expectations about total price ( i.e. needing to replace multiple parts) would have made for a better experience. The live operator when I called was very important in choosing Precision.
