So the original estimate was a great experience. I would give it 5 stars. The guy was friendly, knowledgeable and seemed straightforward regarding what would be needed to replace my garage door. I got the estimate and it was more or less competitive with the other estimate I had just received. Again, still 5 stars. But then I call them to ask a few questions and find out how early I could get the replacement scheduled and that I'd give 1 star. I called the only number they have (a 1888 number) and the "scheduling dispatch" while nice enough couldn't do anything for me.... He couldn't answer my question about the quote (he'd have to have someone call me back)... and he couldn't tell me how long it would take before I could have the door installed (i.e. the scheduling dispatch couldn't tell me when they could install the door that they priced for me... again, he'd have someone call me back). Of course at this point I am a bit frustrated and he has the nerve to ask "is there anything else I can do for you" again... he is still pleasant... but calling in was useless... there might as well just be an answering machine because he couldn't help me at all. Needless to say, I think I'm going to go with the other company.

Don't ask me why we didn't put in an opener before, but we've been manually opening and closing our double door since we build a garage. It was time to graduate. I called a number of local "specialists" and was surprised that all seemed to make a bigger deal out of this than it occurred. Worse, the others never seemed to know the answer to basic questions about equipment and price and had to refer questions to others. Some called back. Some didn't. And those who called back often didn't have answers or provided conflicting information with what I had received just hours (or sometimes days and sometimes longer) before. Precision was different. Knowledgeable, professional, clear. And, when they came to install the opener it was clear that they knew what they were doing. We still can't believe we waited this long but in the end it might actually have been worth the wait!

Wow!! Normally, I dont share comments about my experiences, but this time is different. This technician arrived on time, as promised. I was briefed on the source of the problem, proper maintenance of my garage door, and how I can prevent problems in the future. I knew nothing about my garage door except how to open and close it, electronically. Sherman explained everything, BEFORE, we discussed cost. Affordable cost, quality work, and a smoother running garage door (win-win). Excellent job by Barry! Great customer service! I like service people who repair but also teach you safe guards about your items. My garage door was functioning when I called. I just didn't like the way it was sounding like it was straining. I learned more about the mechanics about a garage door which made me happy about how I was so paranoid about how it was sounding. It had the wrong springs and support bolts that another company did. Now, the door goes up and down with little noise.

Keith did a first rate job of installing a new garage door opener at my home in Bethesda. He arrived at the beginning of the four hour "window" that Precision had agreed with me and completed the job in 45 minutes. He took all the discarded pieces of the garage door opener with him and gave me a 10 minute walk through on how to operate and maintain the system. A good guy, to boot. I have no hesitation in giving him a five star rating!
