I thought I was calling Clinton Garage Doors because they had repaired my springs at my previous home. At first, my scheduled time was for the date I called (1-2-13) between 1-3 pm, I thought, "Wow good service!" I received a call @ 12:20 stating that the repairman would be there the next day between 7-9am. I called my job and told my supervisor that I will be in around 10 or so. The repairman did not arrive until 9:45am only after I called your company to say that I did not receive a call from the repairman and asked if he was still coming. He then quoted me a price that I thought was too high (over $600)probably because I was already upset because of the tardiness. He told me that I had to get both springs even though only one was broken. He explained why both had to be replaced which made sense to me (at my other home, the repairperson only had to do one for around $100). I only went with Precision Doors because I was in a hurry to just get it fixed. I did apologized to the repairman for my attitude. My total experience was a 2 star. The work I give 4 star.

I called that morning. The repair crew was there at 2pm that afternoon and replaced the spring within one hour. Great service.

The price quote was outrageously high with no guarantee that the service will solve the problems. A total waste of our time and ~$50 of service visit fee!

I am VERY disappointed with the experience I had. I was given an appointment time range between 10:00 am and 12:00. The technician arrived at 2:35. He walked to the garage door and as soon as I lowered the door, he said it would cost me $75.00. He sprayed some WD-40 and touched something on the garage door opener. I asked him repeatedly if that was going to fix the problem of the door going back up automatically instead of staying down when lowered. He said I needed to put WD-40 on it about every two weeks. I asked him what the $29.99 charge was for and was told that was just for him showing up. Before he drove away, I informed him that the door was still doing what I had originally made the call about. He then came back and lowered the door. It stayed down that time. He then told me that if I got tired of what it was doing I could call your company back and he would take $75.00 off the 500 dollar plus cost of replacing the motor. I feel that this was a rip-off. I still am not comfortable that my garage door will remain closed. I was charged 104 dollars for less than 10 minutes of service and the door is still not satisfactorily repaired. I will not contact this company again.

The technician and helper (Barry and Tim) who came to fix my garage door openers were fantastic! They fixed the problem with 3 openers, pointed out a dangerous situation with a cable, gave me price estimates on each part of the repair and finished the job in short time. They even swept the leaves out of my garage before they left! I would highly recommend them to anyone.

This technician, William Byrne, went to this job site right away and found/resolved the item right away. Came home from vacation on a weekend and found garage door wouldnâ??t open. I called the company I usually use. Their recording said they were closed and I could leave a message and probably get on Monday's schedule. Had to get the car out before Monday so I checked Angie's list and found Precision highly rated with 24/7 service. Customer Service was very helpful and sent Barry out that afternoon. He immediately found and fixed the problem. It was a low cost simple fix without weekend premium charges. Barry even showed me how to prevent the problem in the future and how to resolve some other issues I had with one of the doors that sticks in hot weather. Great service and people. I would definitely use them again.

Because it was a Saturday and I knew the garage door company I usually use wasn't open week-ends. I decided to look on the internet for week-end workers. The first site that came up was Precision Overhead Garage. Their website said if you call before noon, you can get an appointment that day. Even though it was 1pm, I decided to call anyway. After explaining that I couldn't close or open my garage door, they told me they would go ahead and schedule a time that day...even though it was after their same-day service cut off time of noon. They told me the technician would arrive between 3pm-5pm and he would call before coming (that was nice because I was able to run errands locally and not have to wait at home for those 2 hours). I also have to mention that although the company used an answering service to take the call and schedule the appointment, the gentleman that helped me was also very professional and courteous. Derrick, the technician that was assigned to the repair, called to tell me he was on his way. It was also within the arrival timeframe the company had promised. When he got to my house, he was polite and professional. He assessed the problem and made sure that I was clear about the cost of the repair and the cost of the service call. I agreed and he immediately went to work. He never tried to sell me any other services or parts or repairs that weren't needed. He was finished within 45 minutes and the door worked perfectly. I was able to pay with a credit card even without them being able to verify the information because it was a week-end. I was very impressed that they did that, especially because I was a new customer and had no history with them. Obviously, by my 5-star rating, I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a professional garage door company. Thank you to Derrick and Precision Overhead Garage Door Service!!

Barry knew immediately what the problem was with my door and suggested the correct solution. He also examined the rest of the door and frame and noted that the safety wire had not been correctly installed, so I had him reinstall it correctly. He also programmed a new remote control for me. Great experience, Derrick was on time and very professional which is a rare thing these days. The work was excellent and he communicated to me all that needed to be done. I called in the mid day looking for garage door repair service. Immediately, the technician showed up provide a quote for two springs. He had the strings on his truck. This showed me he was ready for the job. He provided a quote and it was acceptable and less than an hour I was writing the check. When the strings break again, I will call Precision. The technician was patient and charming and explained that there's a battery in my keypad...and it needed changing and that was all. I was relieved and happy about that BUT -- when I called the lady I spoke with was lovely and asked me a lot of questions about my garage door, but at no time did she suggest that I check the battery. That was the only fault I could find with your company and the service
