The positive: This was Barry's third time at my home to repair a broken garage door spring. He is a very nice, polite, well-mannered man and always performs a thorough professional service. The negative: Your garage door springs seem to have an average life span of about 3 years. It would seem to me that they should be more durable and last longer. I can't imagine my next garage door spring repair bill since my warranty will expire in 2013. When they eventually break, I may forced to shop elsewhere for service because I suspect the rates for new springs with labor and service call will become unaffordable.

We have been extremely please with the service Precision Garage Doors has provided us for the past several years. They are extremely responsive and have always quickly sent someone out - even the same day! We highly recommend them!

Torsion Spring broke. Called precision from google. Setting up appointment was easy and same day. Dispatcher gave a 2 hour window (12-2) for arrival, called at 11:45 to advise it would be closer to back end of window and called again at 12:45 to say they would be here in 20 minutes, which they were. Technician, Barry, was professional and knowledgeable. Explained what he would do and what it would cost. Pricing seemed high at $220 for new spring + $45 for new center bearing + $49.95 for service call charge, but what do I know about gargae door repairs. Total repair job took 2 guys 1 hour. $335 including tax. Checked on manufacturers pricing after the fact and torsion spring is $40 item. My fault for not checking earlier. Looks like they did a good job, but you might want to check pricing at other providers.

When our garage door suddenly wouldn't open it was a big deal for us. I'm recovering from knee replacement surgery and the front steps were to high for me to go up and down with out assistance. I called Precision, which was the company that we bought the doors from seven years ago. Alan arrived bright and early the next morning and replaced our broken springs in about a half hour. It was wonderful to once again get in and out of my home without assistance. Thank you Precision and Alan!!!

Technicians were friendly, courteous, and extremely professional. Barry explained what he found that required repair, why it needed repair, and the options available to me. I chose to repair the existing garage door opener. When he had removed the part that was causing the problem, he showed it to me and explained how the defect in the part was causing the symptoms I was seeing. I highly recommend Precision and would call them in the future without hesitation.

Had the tune-up and new keypad special on Angie's list. Barry was very polite and helpful but had to return because he did not have the correct keypad. He promptly returned Monday morning @ 10 and installed the keypad. We will be calling next year to have a new garage door installed.

Precision put in our garage door 11 years ago. They have been out 3 times since to do minor adjustments/repairs. They always come as soon as they can and are polite and efficient. Precision never tries to sell us a part or service we don't need. The technicians explain the problem, explain the options and then leave the plan up to the customer.

The staff was helpful in scheduling the appointment quickly. The staff called to let me know the techician was ahead of scheduled and worked well with me to meet the new plan. I have had openers installed by other places and it took twice as long because the staff really did not know what they were doing. It is worth the extra money to go with an expert. I use this company for all my garage door needs and have been very satisfied every time.

I called Precision Doors yesterday to replace a broken torsion spring. I was told by Harry that it would cost between $169 to $179 per spring, plus a $30 service charge. A technician arrived on the same day and performed a quick and proffesional replacement of both springs, however I was charged for this job $525 rather than max of $388 as I was quoted on the phone. I had not much choice because my wife's car was trapped inside the garage, and had to agree. The technician (Barry) told me that the phone quotes are low to get the work and he has to explain later to customers why the actual cost is much higher... I do not find this practice acceptable. Be careful when dealing with this company!

We had some problems with our garage doors. Our technician was Barry C and he was very prompt and polite. He explained everything he was going to do as well as the cost estimate, which seemed a little high but we agreed to it. The repairs were completed in a timely manor.

While the service was impecable, I was disheartened with the cost. The service call was $49 and was not applied to the work I needed done. I had two brackets installed which took ten minutes and another $99. The total was so high that with another 50-100 I could have had a whole new opener...for just two brackets? Really? Sad....
