I had 2 garage doors rebuilt and 2 openers installed. Total cost was about $2500. My technician was Alan. Overall I was very satisfied with their customer service, promptness, and quality of work. Of note was Alan. You could tell he took a lot of pride in his job and it showed on his work and attitude. I will recommend him to others and will call on Precision again for future needs.

Precision was recommended by the "Homeadvisor" website. The service was scheduled for 9AM today. I received a call from the office at 9:05AM saying the technician would be late and would call when he was on his way. In the meantime I went to another appointment whereas the technician called at 10:30AM saying he was at the property. I got back to the property in 15 minutes. He diagnosed the issue and made some suggestions such as servicing the current parts and purchasing a new door system. He left the name of your estimator so I can contact the owner to decide what they wanted to do. Technician was knowledgeable.

The technician came and quickly addressed the problem, He fixed it in a matter of minutes, he was very competent. The only small complaint would be that he was a little late but He fixed it so fast that it didn't even matter. If my garage door opener malfunctions again I will call Precision doors again. I really appreciated that fact that I could look up the person that was going to come, it made me feel safer.

Called ahead and showed up on time. They quickly assessed the situation, showed me the problem, and explained the needed repair. They told me what the cost would be before beginning the work. In addition to addressing the immediate problem, they determined what had caused my problem in the first place and rectified that situation to prevent a recurrence down the road. Barry and his helper arrived at the expected time. They found and showed us the significant damage to our present closer and suggested several solutions. We accepted his suggestion about replacing the unit. He came back the next day and replaced the unit, replaced cables and demonstrated the use of the new system. The work was completed quickly and efficiently. We are very pleased.

Things on the website that gave me confidence in Precision were the same-day service guarantee (which ended up being a bit misleading), the detailed info about 'Meet Our Team', and the customer feedback. Barry and Mike came out to repair my garage door which was experiencing a great amount of resistance and was not going up or down properly, even when the opener was disabled. Both gentlemen were EXTREMELY professional. Barry quickly diagnosed the problem, walked me thru the situation, and made specific recommendations as to resolution which included itemized costs. They worked quickly and when they were done my door worked better than it has in the past nine years! Regarding the same-day guarantee as posted on the website: I called a little before 10am but the soonest they could get a tech out was between 3pm-5pm the next day. I asked if that meant the service fee would be waived. After a very long time on hold, it was confirmed that it would be waived. However, when it came time to pay the bill and I questioned why the service fee was listed on the invoice (because I had been told it would be waived) I was told that the waiver couldn't be honored because the service I received was the re-build bundle (kinda like buying the value meal at McD's) and if the service fee was waived then I would need to pay for the re-build a la carte. So, in the end, there was no compensation for having to wait until the next day for service - I would have paid the same amount of money for the same service whether or not they came yesterday or today. I purposefully did not call another company to schedule same-day service (once I learned Precision couldn't come until the next day) thinking that I was being compensated $50 for waiting a day. I understand needing to be able to make a profit without giving away the shop but the same-day service guarantee is very misleading.

I would highly recommend Precision Door Service. They arrived as scheduled and explained what the problem was and corrected the problem immediately. They had all the parts available on their truck so the job was done without having to wait.

Percision was refered to me by Home Advisors, and on a scale of 1-5 stars I give you guys a (2). Your service tech Alan was VERY rude and came in with an attitude. He said that he had a lot of calls to get too and did not have time to explain things over and over to me. I told him that I would pay for this service call, and let him get going to his next service call.

The fact that it's taken me over 2 weeks to write this review is an indication of how busy I've been. The garage door in the basement of my daughter's townhouse began working erratically. I didn't have time to check it out, so following my son's recommendation (he used you guys for critical servicing on his garage door), I called your company. The scheduling was quick, and easily worked into my schedule. Barry arrived right at the appointed time. He was quick and efficient in the repairs - and had to replaced quite a few parts. I'd used Precision before, as it was recommended on our neighborhood listserve. The first time when Barry came out, he fixed the problem and didn't encourage me to spend money on something which he could remedy. Eventually, though, the system gave out and I needed a new motor. Thankfully, Barry came the same day I called and did a thorough, efficient job replacing the belt drive. I appreciate that he gave me price options too.

Precision was great as usual. This is the third time I have used them and did not think twice about who to call when the garage door became inoperable. I knew from experience that they would provide "straight talk", clear and concise diagnosis of the problem. The garage door spring was broken. I could have had another company that specializes in this particular mounting (at the suggestion of Barry), but the one year guarantee was for the existing mounting and Precision could install a newer spring system and give a five year guarantee. They not only fixed the spring system, but replaced the rollers and cables at no additional charge. I am known to my friends as the person who knows the best people for various services and Precision is the "Go To" company for garage door repairs.

I called on Thursday and made an appointment for Friday afternoon. The tech came close to 4, tried to sell us two springs instead of 1 and then said he didn't have the equipment to fix garage and could return Monday. My husband took off work on Friday, so he lost time at work, and we didn't have a working garage all weekend. Monday, the tech, Alan arrived also close to 4 and fixed the garage. He too offered 2 springs instead of one. He sympathized with me that Brian should have fixed it on Friday but didn't offer me any discount. I called the company main phone and got the $49 fee waived myself. The entire cost was $433 ($269 for the spring alone). I believe it was too high of a price to replace the spring and had we not already lost three days, we would have found someone else. I'm not pleased with the cost or initial service from this company.

Garage door spring broke last night and precision doors was able to come out and fix it today. The technician, Barry C. Was extremely courteous and quite knowledgeable. He readily explained every aspect of the problem and the job to me. He was efficient on the job and got it done within an hour. Barry really is a keeper - he even swept out the garage - pleasant surprise!! Here is the negative however; the price was really high - bottom line, serious mark up on parts. The only reason for 4 stars. Doing the work yourself can be dangerous, so ou pay the price. Despite that, I would call them again.
