Service was phenomenal. My technician Bobby was thorough, professional, knowledgeable and patient (I asked a lot of questions.). He broke things down, explained my options, provided recommendations and walked me through everything he did. He assisted with setting new garage codes, connecting the garage door to my vehicle, connecting to the wifi and helping me sign up for the warranty. Made a quick on line request for service on Monday night for a 1:00 pm next day service appointment to replace a broken torsion spring. Craig arrived on time providing polite, professional and expert service. The total visit took about 1 hour. Since our garage door is fairly new (7-8 years old) and in very good condition I was somewhat surprised that the repair cost (torsion springs and bearings) was about 40% higher than I expected. Perhaps I failed to inquire about possible available discounts. Nevertheless we are really satisfied with Precision.

Mr. George Harrison was a wonderful technician and representative of Precision Garage Door Service. He was extremely professional, courteous and conscientious of our time. I was most anxious about picking up our daughter, and he finished well before necessary. When he asked me to try out the door, I couldn't believe how quiet the rolling is...prior, it sounded just short of nails on a chalk board at times. It was a very unexpected expense, but Mr. Harrison compensated with a friendly, but courteous, attitude and a job well done.

This technician (Elijah Bowman) was on top of his game. He was very professional and definitely knowledgeable with regards to products and services. He was able to explain everything in layman's terms so that they were understanding. He pointed out deficiencies and possible trouble points. There was no reason to doubt this young man's expertise within the subject matter. Upon completion he ensured that the garage door was balanced and fully functional, explained warranties and most importantly, cleaned up behind his work.

Called Precision when my 24 year-old opener quit working over the weekend. Called on Monday, and installer/technician Craig Taylor was out within a couple of hours. While they could have repaired the old opener, I elected to purchase the new Genie belt-drive wi-fi enabled opener with battery backup, as reparing the old opener would have been at least half the cost of new. Craig explained everything completely and succinctly, and work was done within about an hour and 15 minutes. While total cost might have been a bit more than purchasing opener myself and having it installed, installation with Precision comes with warranty and peace of mind. Only disappointment was that wi-fi feature will not work on my (older) phone. Called customer support....they had just upgraded app 2 weeks prior, and it now requires Android OS 10 and above. (Mine is v.9). So, I guess if the door had broken two weeks ago, the older version of the app would still work. I imagine that things will work when I eventually upgrade the phone. Alternatively, it would be good if Genie would release a backward-compatible version of the new wi-fi app.
