Remembered seeing the Precision Garage Door logo on the side of the van that serviced my neighbor. The great reviews on the website helped me decide. The technician ("Ron") showed up on time and provided a general overview of the problem and showed me an estimate for repair. I needed my garage door repaired and Googled a garage door company in general. Precision Garage Door was first on the list. I had no preference in companies. I took a chance in making an appointment online as opposed to making a phone call. I was pleased with the ease of navigating the website to make an appointment. I chose a 2-4pm window for the appointment. Austin was my technician, but his information led him to my house at 1pm, for somehow that was the time that was given to him. Not a big deal. I would have, however, appreciated a confirmation text/email on the date of the repair confirming that Austin would be there. Austin was very pleasant, professional, friendly and thorough.

My appointment was scheduled for the same day. Travon contacted me to inform me he was on his way with an estimated arrival within 30 minutes. Upon arrival, Travon greeted me and asked me about the service I needed. He assessed the garage door, opener and sensors to inform me of the problem with a recommended fix. Upon my approval, Travon completed the installation of sensors and demonstrated the corrected door and sensor operation.

I was not happy The amount of money charged and only one remote for a 2 car garage. I have had several repairs during the lifetime of this home and never has that ever happened

I called Precision when another repair company failed to return my call. That was probably the best thing that happened to me! I found Precision and checked out their website. When I called on a Sunday, I was greeted with a real person who was more than happy to help get me scheduled for a repair. The representative scheduled me for the next afternoon. My repair tech was Brandon P. who arrived 2 hours early. I was very impressed as he evaluated my door and all past repair work. Brandon P. concluded that I needed a few items to fix what had broken and even suggested some preventative items that needed to be replaced. Within a few minutes my job had been diagnosed and I was presented with the cost. An hour later my garage door was back in service and better than before. I would highly recommend Precision Garage Door.

When I called the Precision Garage Door company, the first person I spoke with gave me an appointment for the next day. I called back in a few minutes, however, to see what I needed to do to get a "same day" appointment (since that's what is advertised on the website). After my second call, I did, in fact, get a "same day" appointment, the tech was at our house within an hour... which was GREAT!!!, the job was explained and completed within 30 minutes, and the garage door seems to be working fine. So why 3 and not 5 stars???... Here's my issue - the cost for the work done was RIDICULOUSLY HIGH!!! Even as I'm writing this review, I could KICK MYSELF for paying!! We had very similar repairs done by this company in 2015 (i.e., replace the extension springs, pulleys, and cable wires) and the cost for this job was about $500.00. This time around (May 2023), however, the cost for this job was over $1300.00!!!... and that was the second/middle option!!! If I would have accepted and done everything the tech recommended, the cost would have been almost $2000.00!!! I showed the tech my 2015 receipt, kept asking questions about the price, and really tried to understand why the prices were so high... and although I never felt good about the prices, I eventually, gave in because we need our garage. So, just add this review to the many others that address the RIDICULOUSLY HIGH prices associated with the Precision Garage Door company... and be prepared to spend LOTS of money if you use this company!!! I will not use them for any repairs in the future.

Recently the spring broke on my one of my garage doors. I contacted Precision Garage Door of Frederick after reading positive reviews of them on Angi. When I contacted Precision Garage Door of Frederick they promptly scheduled a technician replace the spring and the garage door openers. The technician (Dakota) was very polite, professional, and precise. He listened carefully to my concerns and inspected both garage doors and the associated hardware. He showed me that my other garage door spring was not in good shape. He subsequently replaced the springs on both garage doors, installed new garage door openers, and replaced some hinges and other hardware. Dakota also replaced a broken glass panel on one of the garage doors. The garage door upgrade and repair project went very well. The new belt driven garage door openers are much quieter than the original chain driven door openers. I'm very pleased with Precision Garage Door of Frederick and highly recommend them!

This was my third time using Precision, and as usual, they did not disappoint. I called for just a regular tune-up service. Nick was our tech and he was professional and knowledgeable. I was his last appointment of the day and he had already had a long day, but he took time to point out and explain things to me and didn’t seem rushed at all. The customer service and kindness from this company is top notch and it keeps me coming back. We’ve had three different techs and all three have been wonderful. Nick clearly takes pride in his role and understands the importance of providing excellent customer service.
