When my garage door failed to open or close, I wanted a quick repair and chose Precision. The appointment was efficiently arranged and the technician, Jay Constantine arrived on time. He quickly analyzed the problem and explained it to me. He then made the necessary repairs, and the garage door is operating properly. Mr. Constantine is very pleasant and certainly proficient in his job. I will call on Precision if I ever need any service on my garage door.

Excellent tech ( Jay). Explained all well. Efficient. This install was to replace previous door opener with Wi-Fi LED Garage Door Opener do that with power loss, the mechanism will continue to work for 5 openings and closings before need to recharge VS manual operation which I had previously ( and with a reinforcing horizontal steel bar on the door, it was too heavy to lift and difficult to reach to close).

I actually called Gaithersburg. My expectations were not met. Jay was professional but we started on the wrong foot. I did not expect to need all the items he suggested. I thought he was overselling. That it's likely that one needs to replace more parts should have been mentioned when I first called. The price of the springs were higher than the highest range given to me. I could tell that Jay was annoyed. And thus, I did not feel good about the experience. A more realistic expectations about total price ( i.e. needing to replace multiple parts) would have made for a better experience. The live operator when I called was very important in choosing Precision.

We have now had two great experiences with Precision.They are quick to respond to a repair need which is much appreciated given we were manually opening the door! I had an appointment scheduled with Jay between 3:30 PM and 6:00 PM. Around 1:00 PM, he called to ask if I was available earlier. I told him I wouldn’t be leaving work until 2:00 PM, but I didn’t clarify that I wouldn’t be home until around 3:30 due to my longer commute. Jay arrived shortly after 2:00 PM, assuming I’d be home soon. Unfortunately, a heavy storm hit, and I didn’t get home until 3:55 PM. Around 3:15, he called again, but the rain made it hard to hear, so I just shouted that I’d be home by 4:00. I didn’t realize he had already been waiting close to an hour, thinking our appointment had effectively moved up. At 3:25, I received a text saying he would need to reschedule. At the time, I was frustrated, thinking he showed up too early and then canceled—when in reality, it was a mutual miscommunication. To be honest, I didn’t handle the situation well. I was upset, and my frustration came out unfairly. Despite the confusion, Jay remained calm, professional, and respectful throughout. He ultimately returned, completed the garage door repair efficiently, and handled the whole encounter with great professionalism. I appreciate Jay for keeping his composure and following through on the job. He demonstrated excellent customer service, even when I didn’t make it easy. The total price of the repair was $1,423 to fix the door panel, springs & pulleys.

I am impressed by the excellent customer service I received. The technician who inspected the problem easily diagnosed what I needed and he installed new sensors and rollers efficiently and in good time. He was careful to add lubricant ensure the rollers moved smoothly. He is friendly and helpful, and I was glad to have him perform the service. I highly recommend Precision!
