Recently the spring broke on my one of my garage doors. I contacted Precision Garage Door of Frederick after reading positive reviews of them on Angi. When I contacted Precision Garage Door of Frederick they promptly scheduled a technician replace the spring and the garage door openers. The technician (Dakota) was very polite, professional, and precise. He listened carefully to my concerns and inspected both garage doors and the associated hardware. He showed me that my other garage door spring was not in good shape. He subsequently replaced the springs on both garage doors, installed new garage door openers, and replaced some hinges and other hardware. Dakota also replaced a broken glass panel on one of the garage doors. The garage door upgrade and repair project went very well. The new belt driven garage door openers are much quieter than the original chain driven door openers. I'm very pleased with Precision Garage Door of Frederick and highly recommend them!

I have called Precision before to fix a broken spring and they were fast and professional. This time I had an issue with the garage door seeming to open randomly on its own. Somehow it was on the same frequency as my neighbor but I didn't know how to troubleshoot the issue and I figured it was time to call the professionals. After making the appointment, I received a confirmation email informing me of the name of the tech who would be arriving and allowing me to see a photo of him beforehand so that I knew who I would be opening my door to when he arrived. Dakota was great. I received a phone call from him telling me he was on the way. Upon arrival, I told him what was happening; he explained what the problem was and what he was going to do fix it; informed me of the cost, and then got right to work. He also reprogrammed the remotes for all 3 of our vehicles and made sure they were working, and he was done in no time. If you need garage door service, Precision is who you need to call. I highly recommend them.

Our garage door stopped working on a Saturday afternoon. I checked it to make sure the door could manually go all the way up and down, but the opener would only take the door up about 12 inches before stopping. I called Precision that afternoon around 2pm and they gave me an appointment for the next day, a Sunday, for 1-5pm. Dakota the technician called Sunday to tell me his previous appointment was done early, and offered to come a little early for my appointment. He was at my home 15 minutes later and had the issue diagnosed quickly — a broken spring. Solution: replace the spring, bearings, cables. He explained the reasons these things happen, the parts that should be replaced together since you need to remove the springs anyway to replace the others, and his work van was stocked with everything needed to fix it. He gave me a price quote before starting any replacement, and once I concurred, he set to work right away. I stood in the garage with him and he explained as he worked, friendly and professional. Within 2 hours he was done and even took a moment to lubricate the door’s hinges. Garage door repairs are not cheap, but Precision’s prompt service and Dakota’s well-trained work (along with a properly functioning door again) make the pain of paying for repairs worth it. There’s a warranty on the parts and labor as well, so I’m confident in their work and the repairs. I hope I don’t need them again for a while, but I would definitely use them again and I would recommend them to others.

I looked up part that was needed based on model number of motor unit but it was no longer available, “drive belt “ so I called Precision Door Co. they came out next day right on time with a heads up call from the technician Dakota, he had the parts on his van and has my door up and running!! As always, when I need Precision, it is there. My kids did something in the garage last night that made the door lock. I called Precision this morning and told them my minivan was locked in the garage. The representative who I spoke to was so kind, and followed up to let me know that she moved some appointments around to get a technician to me as soon as possible. Dakota came to the rescue. Not only did he repair the issue in 2 minutes, he showed me what was wrong and how to fix it. Dakota is also the technician that did my original motor repair a few years ago. This is one of the fiewst companies oiut there. The tech/sales guy if he indeed was i sales at all, stopped by and not ly gave me an esitmate that I loved but told me things I never knew. I felt at all times I was not pushed. The gentle man was great and explained it all. Well dressed and very articulate. This guy should be out overlooking all talks. I was super imporesed with him. I deal with technitions all the time and this guy Dakota was one of the best techs I have talked with in every trade trads I have ever had to deal with. Top notch. I would stop right at this company if I wee you and call them now if you have a garage door issue. I am very hard on techs and salkes guys. I know what I want and I do not like tech or sales guy to push me. Our conversation lasted maybe 30 minutes and that was because I kept asking him questions. He show me how to adjust my door and there was no charge. You are just not thiunking if you go elseware.

Quick response to my request for help with an older garage-door opener that was stopping halfway up and needed a hand-assist to raise completely. Very competent technician (Dakota) but I was surprised at the price ($677) for a 30-minute tuneup including new springs, pulleys and cable.
