Barry, the repairman, showed up on time, very quickly determined the problem with my broken garage door, and offered reasonable estimates on fixing it vs. installing a new one. Barry and his helper arrived at the expected time. They found and showed us the significant damage to our present closer and suggested several solutions. We accepted his suggestion about replacing the unit. He came back the next day and replaced the unit, replaced cables and demonstrated the use of the new system. The work was completed quickly and efficiently. We are very pleased.

Things on the website that gave me confidence in Precision were the same-day service guarantee (which ended up being a bit misleading), the detailed info about 'Meet Our Team', and the customer feedback. Barry and Mike came out to repair my garage door which was experiencing a great amount of resistance and was not going up or down properly, even when the opener was disabled. Both gentlemen were EXTREMELY professional. Barry quickly diagnosed the problem, walked me thru the situation, and made specific recommendations as to resolution which included itemized costs. They worked quickly and when they were done my door worked better than it has in the past nine years! Regarding the same-day guarantee as posted on the website: I called a little before 10am but the soonest they could get a tech out was between 3pm-5pm the next day. I asked if that meant the service fee would be waived. After a very long time on hold, it was confirmed that it would be waived. However, when it came time to pay the bill and I questioned why the service fee was listed on the invoice (because I had been told it would be waived) I was told that the waiver couldn't be honored because the service I received was the re-build bundle (kinda like buying the value meal at McD's) and if the service fee was waived then I would need to pay for the re-build a la carte. So, in the end, there was no compensation for having to wait until the next day for service - I would have paid the same amount of money for the same service whether or not they came yesterday or today. I purposefully did not call another company to schedule same-day service (once I learned Precision couldn't come until the next day) thinking that I was being compensated $50 for waiting a day. I understand needing to be able to make a profit without giving away the shop but the same-day service guarantee is very misleading.

Very happy with the customer service and technician, two calls to let me know the status of the technician's arrival eventhough he was still going to arrive within the 2 hour window. Precision put in our garage door 11 years ago. They have been out 3 times since to do minor adjustments/repairs. They always come as soon as they can and are polite and efficient. Precision never tries to sell us a part or service we don't need. The technicians explain the problem, explain the options and then leave the plan up to the customer.
