Three days ago a storm came through with tremendous lightning and thunder after which the garage door would operate. Today two very polite technicians from Precision came to my home to assess the condition of the garage door opener. Sort of as an aside, they were on time but I had forgotten to turn the lawn sprinkler off, so they had to navigate through the water to get to my front door to ring the doorbell. Anyway, they spent a good deal of time trying to find the problem. At one point as I was just about to sign for a new controller, it appeared that they had found the problem. But then the controller started smoking and we realized it was fried so I purchased the PDS800. I was amazed at how quiet the door was during operations. They did an excellent job. Even after they had left, I had a couple of questions. So I called the office and receive a return call from one of the technicians who explained very clearly the answers to my questions. The cost did seem a little pricey. However, I'd definitely use them again.

Sherman, your garage door repair representative, called me this morning for the repair of the broken spring on my garage door. He stated he would be at my residence in 20 minutes & he was there before! He gets much more than 5 stars - 20, if I could give it to him. Sherman was extremely professional, courteous and friendly. I showed him where the spring had broken on my garage door and he advised that I should replace both springs for continuity of the operation of the door. I absolutely agreed. He walked through the steps he was going to take, how I needed to maintain the garage door for longevity , including oiling the springs and joints on the door. He was very thorough and I greatly appreciated that. Sherman is an asset to your company - he was respectful, prompt, courteous, friendly & informative. Precision Garage Door Service did a repair on my garage door today. I had a broken torsion sping. This was the second time I have use their services, the time before was the other door and a problem with the sensors. I was very happy with the service, and with the professionalism of Rick, the technician. Most of all, I was happy at getting what I feel was a straightforward cost estimates with no gimmicks and a fair price. Dealing with some other companies has left me feeling like dealing with the 'used car salesman." I would recommend Precision Garage Door Service on the basis of my two experiences with them. Do describe your problem, or send pictures, and ask for a ballpark estimate before the technician comes out. Their online chat service was very helpful.

The springs on my garage door snapped and broke, I immediately called Precision and they arrived at my home the same day and performed the necessary repairs. I was extremely pleased. In the future, Precision will be the company I use if I have any more garage-related issues.

Yesterday, when I googled 'Garage Door Opener Repair, MD', Precision came up with excellent ratings. I called and was scheduled for next day (Saturday) service. THe receptionist was very congenial and professional. Upon receiving the email acknowledging the appointment, I visited the website and read about the technician. This is an excellent feature - getting to know and see who will be coming to your home. Alan arrived within the stated 2-hour timeframe; and immediately assessed the problem. We were given the choice of having a new motor installed today for $550, or waiting until Monday for a new $280 gear - because he didn't have the needed part on his truck. We neither wanted to wait 2 more days for our garage door to work, nor did either of us want to have to miss time at work to have the technician return on Monday. While the new PDS Precision 800 motor was quite pricey compared to the prices I'd seen online for a replacement Craftsman HP 2.0, the Precision is MUCH quieter. We are well pleased with the new garage door opener.
