First time using Precision Door Service and am very happy with my decision. Sherman, my tech, arrived on time, clearly knew what he was doing and did an excellent job! He tolerated my many questions, was very pleasant and so knowledgable. The replacement springs work great - door operation hasn't been this smooth in a long time! I will have to remember him for next time and would highly recommend him. I am very happy with the work done. Also, I appreciate the advance information on who would be coming - no surprises is good in this case.

I've used a few contractors for different services being a homeowner. I also don't normally leave reviews, but I have to say my experience with precision doors was absolutely terrible. I had some work done to my garage door last year that included the cables, springs, and other parts. I used the garage door regularly everyday and initially was satisfied with the work. Last month, the cable snapped when I pulled into the garage. Luckily, the cable was under warranty since it was done by precision doors. The tech (Jake) came out and replaced the door under warranty. Here is wear that terrible customer service starts...the tech gets ready to leave with my garage door not closing. The tech has the nerve to say that the garage door never worked (even though I literally got his advice on how to manually open the garage door to get my car out). To further insult my intelligence, the tech states the work was shoddy and precision would never do it, insinuating that I got someone else to replace the garage door parts. It was the dumbest thing I heard, why would I pay 600+ dollars to replace parts that are already under warranty? It would be like me buying a new Toyota and having Jiffy Lube replace my engine and pay more out of pocket. To top things off, I want to get a tech to make sure my garage door is functioning properly since it's now making a loud noise. I was promised a senior tech, instead they wanted to again send Jake out. I would not recommend precision doors, I still was not able to get my issue resolved.

These guys do good work at a fair value. Their Techs are good and professional. Their installed products seem to last (I had the garage open they installed work for 18 years till it died on me). You were referred by my daughter (K.Carey) who’d contracted your garage door installation service approx 4 yrs ago at her Laurel, Md residence. I reviewed you website, read the reviews and checked your consumer business rating..very impressive. I scheduled the estimator’s appointment and within 2 days James was here, on time and thoroughly knowledgeable. I was prepared with a list of questions and he answered all before I could ask. James conquered my apprehension and was on point regarding materials, mechanics and variables of doors iand openers, etc. He sealed the deal. I received the estimate ate within minutes and have already forwarded to my HOA as required. My garage 20 year old Sears door opener was on its last legs, so I called Precision Door Service of Central Maryland hoping that they could replace it on short notice. They did, sending technicians Keith and Max that same day to fix the opener problem. In less than an hour, they installed a new opener and carefully explained how to program and operate it. Keith was really super, patiently answering my questions before leaving. I had a great experience with this company. I had severed The wire to my garage door sensor. They came out the next day. Sherman fixed it quickly. He was professional and came within the time that was scheduled. Sherman was also trained on how to interact with customers during Covid 19. He had on a mask and made sure I didn’t touch his iPad during the payment transaction. I highly recommend this company for your garage door needs.

The installer, Sherman, inspected both garage door openers, pulleys, springs, etc and identified problems that needed immediate attention. I called Precision because my garage motor and light stopped working and the door wouldn't close all the way. Sherman was my technician and he was great! He was professional, friendly, efficient, explained everything clearly, and was even a bit funny. He knew exactly the source of the issues of my system and fixed my garage door beyond what I could have imagined. At the end of the day they realized that they did not have the bottom door sensor and they would need to return seven days later to finish my door. Overall Quality of Work Rating (2 Stars) The work was completed and the door opener functions properly, but the overall appearance of the wiring and the safety sensor look messy. Metal shavings were left for me to clean up, a rubber mat on the floor had a junk ripped out from it, and an oil like liquid was spilled and left on a portion of one of our tables. Office Communication Grade (0 Stars) I had to contact the office after a few hours of waiting for technicians to arrive on the day they had committed to. After calling the office realized they had not received my garage door opener and they had to reschedule another day to install. The office sent me an email scheduling the second day of installation to be Thursday, I emailed them back and requested it to be moved to Friday. I never received a reply. The technicians actually arrived on Wednesday.
